Two Ways We Clean Carpet and Upholstery
Choose the method that fits your carpet, your furniture, and the stains you’re dealing with.
Shampooing and Extraction
A cleaning shampoo is worked into the carpet or upholstery fibers to loosen dirt, spills, and everyday soil. The shampoo and the dirt it lifts are then extracted, leaving the fibers clean.
- Removes about 80% of stains
- Dry in up to 1–2 hours after we finish
Steam Cleaning
Hot water and cleaning solution are driven deep into the fibers to break down embedded dirt and stains, then extracted along with the soil they release.
- Removes about 97% of stains
- Dry in up to 8 hours after we finish
Stain removal figures are approximate. Results depend on the stain, the fiber, and how long the stain has set. Not sure which you need? Tell us about the stains and the material in your request.

Carpet and Upholstery Questions
What’s the difference between shampooing and steam cleaning?
Shampooing works a cleaning shampoo into the fibers and then extracts it with the dirt, and removes about 80% of stains. Steam cleaning drives hot water and cleaning solution into the fibers to break down embedded dirt before extracting it, and removes about 97% of stains. Results depend on the stain, the fiber, and how long the stain has set.
How long does it take to dry?
After shampooing and extraction, allow up to 1–2 hours. After steam cleaning, allow up to 8 hours.
How is carpet and upholstery cleaning priced?
By the number of bedrooms and the square footage. Photos of any stains help us prepare your estimate.
What don’t you clean?
We don’t clean heavy mold and mildew, sewage, or biohazards. If a request is outside our scope, we’ll tell you clearly.
Can I book a time online?
Every job starts with an estimate request so we can confirm the scope first. Once you approve the estimate, we schedule the work.
What if something is missed?
Let us know within 24 hours of a cleaning, or as soon as possible for other work. We’ll review the concern and, when appropriate, make it right based on the original service agreement.
